This project focuses on an adaptive reuse project in Gilbert, Arizona, which involves transforming a former tire shop into a Boys and Girls Club targeting the age group of 8-10 year olds. My goal was to create a safe and fun environment for children to socialize, learn and grow. Sustainability and environmental consciousness are key factors in my design philosophy, and I am committed to pursuing LEED certifications and incorporating eco-friendly features into the space. The Selfie Booths, fully equipped kitchen, and raised gardening beds are just a few examples of the many opportunities the Girls and Boys Club offers to teach children important life skills such as teamwork, creativity, and responsibility. As the designer of the Boys and Girls Club, I am proud to have created a space that fosters growth and development in a fun and supportive environment.
